Appointment Costs

A deeper look at appointment costs and charges.

Updated over 2 months ago

We're dedicated to delivering exceptional and transparent care to our patients.

Like most primary care practices, we consider all appointments, including annual wellness exams, as billable encounters. We understand that navigating insurance coverage and out-of-pocket expenses can be complex, which is why we've created a straightforward breakdown of our appointment charges below. It's our goal to make the billing process as easy as possible for you, so you can focus on getting the care you need.

Insurance coverage

If you have insurance coverage, the final amount you're invoiced for an appointment may vary based on several factors, such as your deductible, copay, and coinsurance. While we're always happy to support our patients, we're unable to speak on behalf of your insurance provider. Your insurance's member services line is an excellent resource to guide you through your coverage details and any potential costs associated with your appointment.

Here are some good practices to ensure you're never surprised by your bill:

  1. Contact your insurance carrier ahead of time to understand your coverage. Most importantly, if Circle Medical is in-network. Your insurance will also be able to help you understand and estimate the costs you will be responsible for, depending on the appointment type.

  2. We encourage you to review the explanation of benefits (EOB) that your insurance carrier is required to provide you for each claim after it is processed. If you still have questions or need further explanation on your coverage or charges, don't hesitate to contact your insurance member service line. They're there to help you understand your benefits and can provide resources and further context. The number is typically found on the back of your insurance card.

If you received a charge that is unexplained by your copay or your insurance, our billing team can help review the charges for you.

Commonly-Asked Questions

What is your membership or annual fee?

$0! We don't charge any membership or recurring fees for being a patient with us.

Are there any fees?

The only fees we charge are for late cancellations (within 4 hours of appointment start time) or no-shows. Both charges are $50 to make up for the missed slot that could have been given to another patient.

Do you offer payment plans or monthly payments?

No, we cannot offer this type of service at this time. Payment is due in full once finalized by your insurance or if you are paying out of pocket.

Do you take HSA or CareCredit cards?

We do accept certain HSA cards. CareCredit is not currently supported. You may be able to authorize transactions with Circle Medical by contacting the HSA management company directly. If neither of these options work, you would need to use a different payment method initially and then request reimbursement from CareCredit or your HSA account.
