Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP)

We can provide PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis) treatment over video appointments.

PrEP is an HIV prevention method where HIV-negative individuals at high risk of HIV exposure take antiretroviral medication to reduce their risk of becoming infected. It is a very effective HIV prevention treatment, with a 99% estimated level of protection for people who take 7 PrEP pills per week. Most health insurance plans cover PrEP.

If you are a candidate for PrEP, your provider will order your initial set of labs which can be done at a laboratory near you. Once results have been reviewed, a 90-day prescription for PrEP will be sent to your preferred pharmacy. Once on PrEP, you will need a follow-up video appointment and STI screening labs once every 3 months.
